Beginning in 1965, NASA supplied each of the Apollo astronauts with a standard issue Omega Speedmaster Professional manual-wind wristwatch. It is believed that Buzz Aldrin's watch (which was the first watch worn to the moon) was lost in 1971 while he was taking it to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Buzz was attempting to loan the item for display (but lost it on his way to the museum).
I am pleased to offer a collection of vintage wristwatches (Buzz’s lost Omega not included). Each piece is unique and comes in full working order. Each watch has been cleaned and serviced by a professional and carries a one-year warranty for parts and labor. No original box or papers are available (all dates and descriptions have been confirmed by a qualified watch specialist).
